This collaboration, Dance Collection, with Houston-based fine art photographer Ashkan Roayaee, is very close to my heart. Together, we explore the meeting point between Persian calligraphy and fine art photography, two expressive worlds that capture emotion, culture, and movement. The calligraphy in this series is in Farsi, inspired by both contemporary and classical Persian poetry.

In this collection, I also break away from the traditional boundaries of calligraphy, which has always been treated with deep formality and reverence. By placing these letters on the female body and letting them move and dance, I explore a bold contrast that gives this ancient art a fresh, living presence.
